Member Health Assessments
Prior to entering our schools, members will be asked to self-assess their health and the health of their children. If anyone is not feeling well, has a fever, shortness of breath or any COVID-19 like symptoms, or has recently been exposed to COVID-19, we ask that they cancel their lesson. Makeup Lessons will be provided as needed to ensure members who are not feeling well can stay home and rest up!
Equipment for Members
Face masks that cover the mouth and nose are strongly encouraged in all of our schools, and will be required for entry where recommended by state and local health authorities. Please note, children will not be required to wear their face coverings in the pool, but we do ask that they wear them upon entering and exiting the school as required by state and local authorities
Member and Student Distancing
Members are asked to maintain social distance from one another in the parent viewing area. Chairs in the viewing area will be set up to reflect state and local recommendations. Children will also be seated at a safe social distance from one another in the pool during lessons, where required.
Team Health Assessments
Following state and local direction, team members will be evaluated upon arrival for each shift, and anyone who is not feeling well, has a fever, shortness of breath, or any COVID-19 like symptoms, or has recently been exposed to COVID-19 will not be permitted to work.
Equipment for our Team
Team Members may wear face masks that cover their mouth and nose while on the dry side of our school, and are required to wear provided face masks where recommended by state and local health authorities.
Team Members are required to maintain social distance from one another in our facilities. Instructors will maintain social distance from children where applicable but will absolutely assist swimmers as needed to provide a safe swimming experience.
During this time, we will be reducing the number of families in the facility, following all state guidelines. We will also communicate ways we aim to reduce the amount of time you spend in the school, and ask that you maintain a safe distance from other members while in our schools.
Increased Facility Cleaning & Sanitation Stations
We have always taken great pride in the cleanliness of our schools! You will notice increased attention to disinfecting efforts, with additional attention to high traffic areas and commonly touched facility elements. Schools will also continue to provide antibacterial hand soaps and hand sanitizer, with increased availability in key areas of the facility.
Removal of Commonly Shared Amenities
We know how much you love the ‘Goldfish Extras’ that make swim class a Golden Experience! However, in order to help prevent the spread of germs and bacteria, we will temporarily remove shared amenities, such as our books and toys, hair dryers, hair products, quarter candy and in some cases, retail items. But don’t worry - if you need something to purchase for lessons, please ask at the Front Desk and we’ll be able to assist you!
We will not be able to offer any goggles for children to borrow, so please be sure to bring your own. We will have goggles available for sale at the Front Desk, if needed.
Additional safety measures will be implemented by each individually owned and operated Goldfish Swim School. Each school is working diligently with their state and local health authorities to determine how to create the safest environment for anyone who enters our schools, and will follow the guidelines put in place for social distancing, school capacities and additional sanitization and protective measures to continue to make the safety of our Goldfish Family the top priority.
We encourage you to connect with your local Goldfish Swim School through social media to stay up to date on their reopening plans. We appreciate your continued support as we prepare to dive back in Safer. Stronger. Together.™
