You’ve heard about Pay It Forward…well, now you can “Float It Forward!”

At Goldfish Swim School, we strive to teach kids how to be safer in and around the water, along with giving them the confidence and skills to make waves in life. That’s why we’ve partnered with the USA Swimming Foundation’s “Make a Splash” initiative to teach kids – who may not otherwise have the opportunity – how to swim.

What is Float It Forward?

Swimming is a lifelong, life-saving skill that EVERY child should have – but sometimes, it isn’t that simple. Float It Forward is our fundraising initiative to help raise funds that will be used to provide grants to help children across the country learn to swim – regardless of their ability to pay.

But why?

Drowning is the No. 1 cause of injury-related death for children ages 1 to 4. We teach water safety skills during each and every lesson at Goldfish Swim School, including how to recognize the signs of drowning and what to do in a potential emergency situation – and we want EVERY child to have these lifesaving skills.

We don’t want any parent to have to endure what Levi’s mom, Nichole Hughes, did when she lost him to drowning (and we celebrate her courage in creating Levi’s Legacy to help educate everyone about water safety).

Plus, not only does not knowing how to swim mean missing out on all the fun and all-around benefits swimming offers kids (like helping them become better athletes in any sport), but then that also transfers into becoming an adult, and possibly a parent, who doesn’t know how to swim. We don’t want that! We want everyone to have a GOLDEN experience around water, always.

How YOU can Float It Forward

Join our mission and help us reach our goal for this initiative of $1,000,000 by 2024! You can donate to the school of your choice at this link.

Or, ask your local Goldfish Swim School location https://www.goldfishswimschool.com/locations/ directly how you can help.

We have 88 (and growing!) Goldfish Swim School locations across the country, and we’re donating all quarter candy, snack shack, family swim, Family Night Out and swim meet revenue to the foundation for the month of May. In addition, all new family registration fees will be donated to the foundation as well. We’re hoping for some pretty extraordinary results thanks to all of you! (And parents, you can use this as a teachable moment to show your children how they are helping others. Small gestures make BIG impact!)
