Do you award both single school locations and area development agreements?

We are open to both an award of a single location or multiple locations. Each has different award criteria that will be discussed during the franchise award process.

Do you require that one or more owners live in the market where they would own a Goldfish location?

While we do find some advantages to one or more owners living in the market where the Goldfish Swim School is located, it is not a requirement. During the award process, we will discuss the expected time commitment of an owner in the Goldfish Swim School market.

How will I find the right real estate for a Goldfish Swim School location?

If you are awarded one of our facilities, you and a Goldfish-approved real estate broker will work hand in hand with our real estate and construction team to find the right location that meets our requirements.

At what point in the franchise award process can I speak with other Goldfish Franchisees?

Generally, you can speak with Goldfish Swim School franchisees after you have received financial pre-approval. We will notify you during the award process regarding when you can speak with current Goldfish Swim School franchisees.

How do I go about getting financing for a Goldfish Swim School?

Ultimately, the financing is handled directly by the franchisee (because we do not offer direct or indirect financing). However, when you go through the financial pre-approval process, our vendor will discuss with you their financing services. We also have relationships with certain lenders who would be happy to discuss financing with you.

What is involved in the initial financial pre-approval process?

We use a third party for our financial pre-approval process. During the award process, this vendor will walk you through the steps of the financial pre-approval process, which will include providing a personal financial statement and other documentation required by the vendor. There is no charge to the prospect for the financial pre-approval process and you are not required to use this vendor for financing.

Does an owner of the franchised location need to be the day-to-day general manager of the Goldfish Swim School?

We do not require an owner to serve as the general manager.

What is The Science of SwimPlay®?

The Science of SwimPlay® is our holistic swim school philosophy that develops life skills in and out of the water in our one-of-a-kind, play-based learning environment. We’ve taken fun, guided play, safe environments, achievements – everything that’s scientifically proven to help kids learn – and packaged it up into one experience. By offering lessons that are rooted in The Science of SwimPlay®, you will be able to help kids boost their cognitive development and learn important life skills. This philosophy fuels our schools and helps further ensure their success and community impact.

How was the Goldfish Swim School Franchise philosophy developed?

Studies show that stimulating environments can have significant benefits on a child’s cognitive development. Because children are more successful learners when they’re in a fun, safe environment, we have designed our swim schools in a way that ensures the complete comfort of kids and their families.

How long is the franchise award process?

The timing of the franchise award process varies, primarily due to the desired or necessary pace of the prospect. We will be available to move you through the process in a timely manner. We understand that the desires or constraints of the prospect may result in the award process moving at a slower pace.
