Alex opened Goldfish Swim School – St. Charles in August 2013. As a Northwestern University graduate, Tyler felt that the St. Charles, Illinois community was the perfect place for a swim school – and as a lifelong swimmer, he felt it was important to help other children learn this essential skill. Alex grew up in Birmingham, MI where first exposed to swimming at age 4. He went on to swim for the Northwestern Wildcats, where he was the 2011 team captain and two-time NCAA All-American. Alex’s enthusiasm and love of the sport of swimming have proven to be real assets in managing his business and promoting water safety for all families. Alex received the Kane County Chronicle Best Under 40 award this year! In February, Alex traveled to Belize to teach the kids in the village of Gales Point valuable lessons regarding water safety.
