My MC Media: Kids Should Continue Drowning Prevention Classes Amid Pandemic



According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), drownings are a leading cause of injury death for young children ages one to 14. National health leaders reported that child drownings in some states have increased since the pandemic began.

TheAmerican Academy of Pediatrics recommends that kids continue to safely participate in organized drowning prevention classes despite the COVID-19 health crisis.

MyMCM checked in with Zach Healy, the General Manager at the newest Goldfish Swim School in Gaithersburg to learn how they teach life-saving lessons during the pandemic.
