    Patrick and Amy Turner Owner

Patrick grew up in Missouri, attending the business school at University of Missouri in Columbia (Go Tigers!). Golf, travel and family are his passions but not necessarily in that order. He caught the entrepreneurial bug while completing his MBA at the University of Colorado. When not testing chlorine or keeping Annie & Tommy out of the Swedish Fish you can find him listening to live music at Red Rocks or making turns on the Colorado ski slopes. Amy started swimming before she could walk and joined her first swim team at 4 years old. Born and raised in Michigan she moved to Colorado after graduating from Michigan State University (Go Green!) and started competing in running and triathlon events. She competed in Ironman Louisville in August of 2009 and placed 70th among 2,315 finishers after the swim portion of the race and completed with an overall time of 12:35:42. They got married in Boulder, CO and lived in the Highlands neighborhood of Denver prior to moving to Stapleton in early 2008. They have two kids, Annie and Tommy, who both attend Bill Roberts Elementary School. Bringing Goldfish to Stapleton is a dream come true. They can’t wait to share their passion for swimming and water safety to neighbors and Denverites.

    Alaynah Johnson General Manager

Alaynah is a rare native of Colorado. She graduated as a Junior from Smoky Hill High School in 2015 and is now pursuing her bachelor’s degree at Metropolitan State University. Alaynah started her career with Goldfish in June of 2017 before the location opened. She was instrumental in getting the business up and running by becoming one of the first group of instructors and working with Amy and Patrick in their basement to get families enrolled before the facility was complete!! Since Alaynah started swimming at a very young age, this is what interested her from the beginning to pursue a career with Goldfish. Her grandparents influenced her to be safe in the water during the summer and from there on she loved being in and around the water. Alaynah is the mother to a beautiful boy named Jakobe. He keeps her busy when she is not working by taking trips to the park, playing basketball, and creating memories together. Working with Goldfish has brought Alaynah many opportunities and growth in her career field. She is very thankful to be able to see the business grow!

Averi Amsterdam Sales and Service Manager

Averi was born and raised on Long Island, New York, but traded in the hustle and bustle for the Colorado mountain views in the fall of 2019. Growing up close to the beach, she learned to swim at a young age. From swim lessons, to swim team, then life guarding, and pool management, she could not seem to escape the aquatic industry. Averi graduated from college in December of 2016 with a degree in Communication Studies and went on to a typical “9-5” desk job. Like Princess Moana, the water called for Averi and she began to work pool side again for a non-profit organization. Averi joined Goldfish Swim School in October of 2019 before moving into her current role of Sales and Services Manager. Outside of work, she spends most of her time exploring the outdoors with her dog, skiing in the winter, camping in the summer, and cooking new recipes all year long.

    Aly Patin Pool Operations Manager

Alycia (Aly) was born and raised in the greater Houston area of Texas, in a small town called Montgomery. She learned to swim at a young age, but never swam on a swim team. Instead, she got her start in aquatics at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, FL in 2016. She started as a lifeguard at one of the water parks, Blizzard Beach, and soon moved over to the resort side of Disney early 2017. Aly quickly became a resort trainer and then a recreation coordinator. This is where her passion for water safety began and she became an Ellis certified lifeguard instructor. She left Walt Disney World in 2019 to pursue a career with Goldfish Swim School in Ann Arbor, MI. From there, she joined our team here in July of 2020 as our Pool Operations Manager and lifeguard instructor. She is excited to be here helping our team be even safer in and outside of the water. Outside of work, you’ll find her hiking and trying out new, local restaurants with her partner and dog.

Give your kids the platform to make waves in life.
