Drowning is the No. 1 cause of accidental death for children through age 4, and the second leading cause of accidental death for children to age 14 – and Goldfish Swim School is committed to doing everything in our power to prevent drowning accidents.
FREE Community W.A.T.E.R. Safety Program
Each and every one of our locations across the country offers FREE community W.A.T.E.R. Safety programs. We'll come to you and teach children how to be safer in and around the water.
Who can benefit from our FREE community water safety program? Any child-focused organization, including:
- Community Groups
- Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts (we even offer a Water Safety badge!)
- Police and Fire Safety days
- Library programs
- and more…
We know, through the Science of SwimPlay®, that children learn best through fun and play (and that's what gives us extraordinary results) – so that's what we do.
During our free 20-minute presentation, our water safety experts will demonstrate integrity, compassion and trust to engage children in participating and learning about water safety. We'll play a fun – and educational –- game, and children will be delighted by a visit from everyone's favorite goldfish, Bubbles.
And, of course, we'll celebrate by handing out a water safety bag with goodies that may include a book, coloring sheet, toy, swim pass, or other water safety-related items.
Why teach water safety?
Even if you don't live near a lake or the beach and don't have a pool, water safety is an essential life skill all children need to know – now, and for the rest of their lives.
- Vacations. Use water safety tips to stay safer and have a GOLDEN experience on vacation
- Summer. Have peace of mind when your child hangs out with other kids and may go to a pool or beach without you
- When not swimming. Drowning accidents can happen even when no one is swimming or planning to
